The First Annual Clayton Film Festival Rescheduled

The producers of the Clayton Film Festival have rescheduled the event for late Fall of 2009 due to local publicity of a film scheduled to debut at the event. Webster Falls Films, the producers of the film Blaire's Bridge and the host of the Clayton Film Festival, announced the schedule change recently.

"After speaking to filmmakers, we decided it would be best to separate the film festival and the premiere of Blaire's Bridge into two events at different times of the year," Webster Falls Films producer T.C. Freeman said. "This will give the filmmakers front and center stage during the festival without competing with all the publicity surrounding our movie premiere."

The new dates for the festival will be announced soon.

First Annual Clayton Film Festival to focus on student films

The producers of the Clayton Film Festival have announced the first annual event will feature films produced by high school and middle school students.

"After considering ways to make this first event special, we decided there was no better way to do this than showcase the work of creative students," Clayton Film Festival Director Mark Grady said. "We will certainly screen work from other filmmakers, too, but we plan on making student film producers our special guests."

The Clayton Film Festival will be held in late fall of 2009 at the Clayton Center.
